Prospective Students

All students are provided with financial support that includes a stipend (currently $25,000), tuition and fees, and health insurance.  There are no teaching or other specific requirements beyond those of the academic program.  Pursuit of the PhD degree is a full-time endeavor and no other remunerative work is allowed.  Continuous registration and satisfactory academic standing are required during all terms.   

Applications are submitted through the UAB Graduate School and are reviewed by the Graduate Biomedical Sciences Admissions Committee.
